Day 1: arrive, settle in and enjoy Baclayon
Leave space around your flight or ferry arrival rather than scheduling a major excursion. Ask the host for the entrance pin and agree the journey with your driver before travelling. A grocery stop on the way is useful if you plan to cook.
Once everyone has chosen a bedroom, spend the afternoon at the private pool or in the garden. If arrival time allows, make a separate outing into Baclayon for the heritage church and local food. Keep your first evening simple: dinner at the villa's table for ten, a film in the cinema or time on the rooftop.
Day 2: choose a manageable countryside route
The Chocolate Hills, Loboc River and a tarsier sanctuary are familiar Bohol countryside stops. Ask a local driver to help build a route around your group's interests and stamina. Choose a few stops you really want to experience instead of trying to fit in every attraction.
For a mixed-age group, discuss walking distances, steps, shade and meal stops before confirming a tour. Book any river cruise with its operator, check its schedule and leave time for the return drive. At wildlife sites, follow the guides' rules, keep voices low and do not handle the animals.
Return for an easy evening. The self-catering kitchen makes it possible to eat together without another outing; the karaoke lounge gives guests who still have energy somewhere to gather.
Day 3: a Panglao outing or a slower villa day
If your group wants a coastal day, arrange road transport to Panglao and choose a beach or a booked water activity. Island-hopping and snorkelling depend on weather, sea conditions and operator availability, so keep plans flexible and confirm the meeting point.
If you would rather stay close to home, leave the day free for swimming, reading and shared meals. Balay Kasadya is a private inland villa in Baclayon; beaches require travel. For families who want every day on foot at the beach, that location difference is worth considering before booking.
When the weather changes
Keep the cinema, covered indoor living spaces and karaoke as your backup plan. If an operator changes or cancels an excursion, resist squeezing it into a rushed day. Use the time to enjoy the house and rearrange only if the new plan suits your group.
